Rayquaza Medaka

The Rayquaza Full Metal Medaka is a striking high-end variant of the Japanese Ricefish (Oryzias latipes). This strain is prized for its intense, full-body metallic luster and deep coloration.

Unlike standard Medaka, the "Full Metal" designation means the iridescent guanine layer covers the entire back (dorsal area) and often extends down the sides and onto the head.

They typically feature a dark charcoal, deep blue, or "steel" base color, which makes the silver/platinum metallic scales pop.

In Japan, Medaka are traditionally bred to be viewed from above. The Rayquaza strain is specifically developed for this; the "Full Metal" effect is most impressive when looking down into a dark-colored container, which enhances the reflective scales.
