Neptune Medaka

The Neptune Medaka is a modern Japanese designer ricefish strain named for its deep-aquatic, ethereal coloration reminiscent of the sea god and the blue gas giant

The intense Blue-Silver Lame: Dense glitter scales (Lame) run along the spine and flanks, reflecting vibrant electric blue, cyan, and bright silver light under direct illumination.

While gorgeous from top-view ponds due to its glittery back, the Neptune strain truly shines in clear glass aquariums where its fluttering blue-and-white fins can be appreciated from the side.

A dark background with focused overhead LED lighting makes the icy blue Lame and broad fin outlines pop with maximum visual contrast.
