Mariage KWF (Kissing Wide Fin)

The Mariage Kissing Wide Fin Medaka (Mariage Kissing Wide Fin) is a high-grade, highly decorated Japanese ricefish strain. It combines the icy blue-white iridescence of the classic Mariage line with two distinct morphological fin mutations.

In "Kissing" type lines, as the dorsal and anal fins extend backward toward the tail, their trailing edges grow long enough to nearly touch or "kiss" the caudal (tail) fin. This gives the fish a continuous, sweeping curtain of finnage along its back half.

The body and fins are coated in intense blue-silver Lame scales and guanine shimmer. The edges of the wide fins feature dense, glowing white highlights (Gu-ray pigmentation) that flicker like electric blue sparks when the fish turns under light. ​A black background with concentrated overhead lighting makes the luminous blue-white fins pop with maximum contrast.

​While most traditional medaka excel in top-view ponds, the Mariage Kissing Wide Fin is engineered specifically for glass aquariums. Its massive fin surface area and fluttering swim style make side-view aquascaping the best way to display its traits.
